The Forum Trust is responsible for the management and maintenance of The Forum building, 2 Millennium Plain and external areas around both buildings. This is a large task as the complex is visited by more than two and a half million people annually, all with different needs, requirements and questions. The tenant organisations who have space in the building also require assistance on a day to day basis.
Both The Forum and the underground multi-storey car park are open from 7am until midnight every day, and must be managed at all times.
A dedicated team of twelve building managers, supervisors and staff perform this valuable role without which the building could not function as it does. The team are based in the Building Control Room on the ground floor of The Forum, which is manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The Building Services team are usually the first port of call for the public who may have questions about the building, the car park and other facilities and also for tenants who may have maintenance issues or problems. They are all qualified first aiders and able to give medical assistance if required.
